The experimental film “UNTER HAUSEN” by Stephan Brüggenthies will have its world premiere at the 27. International Short Film Festival in Izmir. First screening will be on November 5th in the cinema of the French Cultural Centre. Turkey’s most important short film festival is an Oscar-qualifying event.

Unter Hausen is a reflective film about structural change in Germany, based on filmed street photography and original historical sound recordings. A short portrait of the city of Oberhausen, located in the middle of Germany's former coal belt »Ruhrgebiet«. The documentary experiment examines a city in post-decline mood, between past and present: Turkish guest workers, coal miners and their wifes vs. the partly disillusioned population of today – amidst young hipster guests during a film festival. To what extent does structural change after deindustrialization work?

On October 23, the music video "Red-eyed hippie" by Cologne band Adrian's Picture will be released. The video was directed by Stephan Brüggenthies and features Chris DeWueb (drums) and Rainer Gockeln (electric guitar). Angelika Huber was in charge of camera and lightning (band).

On May 22, MOVEMENT will release an all-new song with guest vocalist SIVAN, alumna of Conservatoire Maurice Ravel in Paris.

This is melancholic MOVEMENT dance pop as we love it, with a french touch. A song to walk through Paris at night. Enjoy the European vibes of "Melody D'Amour". A music video will be available on youtube (May 22, 9 h Paris time).

Listen also to the "Oberkampf Club Mix" by RAIN DMC.

After 38 years, MOVEMENT release some of their "lost tapes". Those sessions recorded from 1986-91, among them four of the Forli tapes recorded by Charlie Mallozzi and Marco Sabiu, which were hidden in a safe all those years. We're glad that Spanish label DEAD WAX RECORDS dug the tapes out again. They were remastered by Nicolás Zúñiga. Now they are available on DEAD WAX 051. First 130 in red vinyl. Including "New Harbour's" and "Kind of True".

In December we'll finally release the KIND OF TRUE E.P. by Movement! It was produced in 1990 (!) by Graziano Mallozzi and Marco Sabiu at Forli Studios, Italy.

KIND OF TRUE was intended to be the follow-up single to the highly successful "New Harbour's" in 1991,but was unfortunately never released back then due to some controversies ...

The KIND OF TRUE E.P. contains the original version from 1991, the long "Weltschmerz" Mix", a new acoustic version, a breathtaking A.I. version (deriving from Gernot's old vocals), a stunning live version of NEW HARBOUR'S by German band Adrian's Picture (all new stuff from 2024) plus the original Demo from 1989.

Release date: December 6, 2024!

The original tapes were provided by Axel Seitz (Funfactory Records) and everything was remastered by Rainer Gockeln. Thanks you!

Adrian's Picture will play live at Club Subway Cologne on May 7.

After final agreements with the former record label "Funfactory", we now release the original "MOVEMENT" record from 1988 in the best, re-mastered quality. The E.P. "Total New Harbour's" is available now on every platform. It includes the original 3 mixes (Hot Night Mix, Diskorrosion Mix and Radio Mix) by Italian producer Graziano Mallozzi. Furthermore, there's the original demo (very different!), the 1991 "Unplugged" version for Rough Trade (produced by Ekki Maas) and a the final "1995 Edit" by Matt Bridges.

We thank Axel Seitz from Funfactory for helping us to get the stuff together.

We're remastering more old tapes and will hopefully release the follow-up single "Connivance" by MOVEMENT in 2024! It was produced 1990 by Marco Sabiu and Graziano Mallozzi at Forli Studios, Italy, and never released due to some legal stuff back then ...
